Putting Breaking Bad on Netflix is credited for the ratings surge the AMC series has been experienced this season as more and viewers discover the serialized drama. ABC is hoping for a similar bump for the second seasons of its returning serialized dramas, Once Upon A Time, Revenge and Scandal.

In a unusual move so early into series’ runs, the complete first seasons of the three ABC shows are being made available for U.S. members to watch instantly on Netflix and will become exclusive to Netflix at the end of the month. The move is timed to get the three series out just days before their second-season premieres.

Disney-ABC has always been more open than its counterparts to video subscription services, including signing the first deal with iTunes back in the day. A number of its series, including Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice, Desperate Housewives and Lost, already have its previous seasons available on Netflix. The decision to put Once Upon A Time, Revenge and Scandal on Netflix is in stark contract with CBS’ policy on its series. For example, drama Person Of Interest, also heading into its second season, cannot be seen anywhere online, which has been a bone of contention with its creators.

Oh man this is such a terrible conundrum. On the one hand, I kinda want to be mad because I don’t know how I’ll survive (other than reading and writing) without new episodes of Scandal, especially since this is a whole month less of Scandal. But on the other, I love babies and definitely feel happy for the couple to be having their first child together. It’s like celebrating one friends promotion at work knowing that your other friend didn’t get that promotion. Bummer!

I really am not liking how Mellie is demonised simply because she is the Wife. Everyone else is allowed to have ambitions and even make mistakes, but not Mellie.

  5. Tony Scott says:

I think Mellie is lining up everything and will drop the hammer on all of them and it will be devastating. If you get a chance to watch Men on Scandal, I’d love to know your thoughts.

I WANT TO BE A GLADIATOR IN A SUIT! I’m a great actor. I’ve done plays, and a commercial. I’m a real people person. I’ve never met a stranger because I treat everybody like I’ve known them for years. And known to be the life of the party. Recruit me, I promise I won’t let you down! Smooches!

I am glad I found this site since I am a huge Scandal fan it easily allows me to keep up to date with what new news is out there. I am working on a project this summer called Scandusical, and it is Scandal and a musical. An indiegogo campaign will be running till June 22nd and we went all in and either reach the goal or figure out what to do next to still make it happen. If you wouldn’t mind featuring it on your site it would help in our efforts to make this come to life. If not I completely understand and hope that you can at least appreciate it as a fan. Thanks and I look forward to staying up to date with Scandal via info posted on your site!

I hope Shonda let them get back together because basically, that is what all the fans want to see. I don’t think they should have Olivia always so stubborn, even though she may have reason to be, and admit to him that she loves him enough to continue to wait on him, even when they break up … he has broken up with her and she has broken up with him … they could get together and they would have story lines for a long time.

I hope my favorite two get back together. Come on writers … do something … I loved their photo shoot on the cover of Entertainment Weekly. I am definitely not a Scott Foley fan … he made a comment about twitter that if the fans were not patient with him, he would not be patient with them … he is rigid and controlling and I hope Fitz finds out that he was the cause of Olivia being injured by trying to stop her from leaving. He is the one with the mask in Liv’s apartment … I hope that Olivia understands that Fitz wanted to keep her under surveillance because he didn’t want her to get involved with another man and leave him altogether. I understood it … so I am trying to wait patiently for the next three episodes.

Stop all of these breaks, quite nerve wrecking!
